Description
Negro Angelo & Figli Roero Arneis ‘Serra Lupini’ 2021
Arneis is arguably the most important white grape of Piedmont, often referred to as “White Barolo” because of its complexity. Great Arneis has minerality due to the sandy soil it grows in that is also rich in fossils. Roero is the only region in Piedmont where you find this. In the local dialect, Arneis means “little rascal” because of the difficulties associated with growing it. Like the Favorita, “Serra Lupini” only sees stainless steel, does not go through malolactic fermentation, and is aged for three to four months on its lees.
