The wine label is simple and light-hearted, but this Cabernet Sauvignon is serious, complex, and earthy. This Cabernet Sauvignon is going to present aromas of tobacco and leather. On the palate, the wine will have an element of ripe fruit and creamy oak. The “earth” is the 10-acre family vineyard in Napa Valley’s Oakville appellation. The vineyard’s limited yields result in superb aromatics, rich and brilliant flavors, and full, soft tannins. In 2014, Hoopes Vineyard harvested this vineyard into fourteen small batches to ensure optimal fermentation, flavor, and acidity. Always appointed with flavors of cedar, baking spices, graphite, and cassis, this wine is a classic Oakville wine with balance and elegance.
