Tasting Notes For Davis Bynum Russian River Pinot Noir 2019
*** DAMAGED LABEL ***
Davis Bynum Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2019 is a rich, balanced and complex wine that is a true representation of the terroir of the Russian River Valley. The wine is a blend of fruit from three distinct neighborhoods in the Russian River Valley, each contributing its unique flavor profile.
The Santa Rosa Plains neighborhood provides the wine’s darker fruit tones, richer mouthfeel, and velvety tannins, while the warm Middle Reach neighborhood on Westside Road adds spice, floral, and red cherry fruit tones. The Green Valley neighborhood, known for its cooler climate, adds fresh blueberry and vibrant acidity to the blend, thanks to its sandy loam soils. Finally, a select piece from the hillside vineyard in the Petaluma Gap, within view of San Pablo Bay, adds racy acidity and briary fruit to the blend, making it an exceptional wine that truly showcases the differences in flavor from distinct sites in the Russian River Valley.
Davis Bynum Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2019 is an elegant and sophisticated wine that pairs well with a variety of foods, from roasted meats to grilled vegetables. Its complex flavor profile makes it perfect for special occasions, or for savoring on its own. The wine has a beautiful ruby color, with aromas of cherry, raspberry, and spice on the nose. On the palate, it has a medium body, with flavors of black cherry, blackberry, and hints of vanilla, along with a long and smooth finish.
