The 2020 Cabernet Franc was made with free-run juice and is maturing for 30 months in 100% new French oak. Opaque ruby in color, it opens with chargrill aromas over a core of blackcurrant fruit and slowly emerging tones of resinous herbs and leather. The palate is full-bodied and lighter on its feet than expected, with powdery tannins, seamless acidity and a long, layered finish. It’s a touch rustic compared to the other 2020s in barrel.
