San Salvatore ‘Vetere’ IGP Campania Rosato 2021
Made from organically grown Aglianico grapes, by one of the top producers in Campania. The first thing you will notice is the very cool shaped bottle, the second thing will be the very cool color of the wine – it is the color of Watermelon Jolly Ranchers! This Italian Rosato has red berry, citrus notes, and great depth, all resulting in the most compelling wine of the tasting. Crisp and bright, with great intensity and yet low in alcohol (11.5%). If you want to step up your Rosé game, this is the wine to do it!
The grapes are very gently pressed and then fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks. Magliano Vetere is the name of a small town near one of the San Salvatore vineyards. The word Vetere comes from the Latin word “vetus”, which means “old”.
