Description
Poderi Colla Nebbiolo d’Alba 2018
The Nebbiolo d’Alba comes from a single vineyard on the border of Barbaresco. Because of it’s location and potential, the Collas age it as they would a more serious wine. It macerates on its skins for 10 – 12 days and ages in large oak casks for one year before aging in bottle for an additional year before release.
The Colla family has been a winemaking family in the Langhe since the beginning of the 18th century but despite their long history, Poderi Colla is one of the newest estates in the region. It was started in 1994 by Tino Colla and his niece, Frederica (the daughter of the legendary winemaker Beppe Colla of Prunotto fame).
