Description
Piedrasassi PS Santa Barbara County Syrah 2019
Sashi Moorman has been working with Santa Barbara County Syrah since 1996. It was a dream to come to California and make wine and it was with great luck that he landed his first job in the wine industry with Adam Tolmach’s as the assistant winemaker at The Ojai Vineyard. The beautiful syrahs he was able to help produce with Adam set him on the journey to discover the limits of classically styled and terroir-driven syrahs in California. 2012 was a beautiful year for syrah – good yield and great quality of fruit. As a result, we were able to make delicious and compelling wines. Fruit forward nose gives way to some feminine high notes, while in the mouth there is energy, uplift, and definition – a Syrah of great typicity from one of California’s best appellation for classically styled wines. 400 cases.
